AGM: May 15th, 2019, 7pm, NDCC Community Room

Each spring we hold our AGM (Annual General Meeting) where we take stock of the past year and confirm the volunteer board members for next season.  All skating parents, adult skaters, and coaches are welcome to participate in the meeting, and we encourage you to join us, as you will learn a lot about the club and how we run it!

Our club is a non-profit organization solely run by volunteers.  This allows the club to simply cover costs, and pass on low skating fees to the skaters, which we know families appreciate.  What this means, however, is that we need volunteers to maintain this approach!  We are always looking for more volunteers to help with the club activities and spread the work across many hands.  If you are interested in learning more about the role, please feel free to contact us at info@ayrskatingclub.com, or reach out to any of the current board members.  If you or someone you know would like to join our board, you can nominate here: https://form.jotform.com/90778689676282All nominations must be received by 19-Apr-2019.

During the AGM, we will do a summary of our registrations, a financial report, summary of our fundraising activities, coaches summary, communications update (website), along with a review of the year by our president.  We will do a formal vote for the board at this meeting.  The meeting generally lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours.

Please mark your calendars to attend the AGM - it will be Wednesday, May 15th, 2019 at 7 pm, in the Community Room at the NDCC arena.

Hope to see you there!  Please feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

Note: the agenda and a complete list of the candidates nominated for elections will be added to this notice no later than 10 days prior to the AGM.  Minor amendments to the club by-laws are proposed -- you can view the club constitution here: History, Board, and Constitution (the club constitution document is at the very bottom of that page and the proposed changes are detailed in Appendix 1 of the document)
